Description
Meet at the Blue Mountains National Park entrance at Glenbrook. Walk down the road to the Causeway then upstream along Glenbrook Creek via Blue Pool to Duck Pool by the junction with Kanuka Brook (approx. 3 km). This stretch is partly tracked and reasonably open. Head up Kanuka Creek for approx. 1 km. There is an intermittent track marked by splodges of blue paint. Then head up a gully to the left (south) for 50m until it forks. Climb the ridge between, weave through some cliff lines (always marked with blue paint) and follow a clear track on the ridge until it meets Red Hands fire trail. Turn left and make your way down to the Red Hands Cave. Continue down the track to the junction with Camp Fire Creek (1.5 km). Turn left here and follow Camp Fire Creek downstream to the Glenbrook Causeway. Cross the causeway and climb back up the road to the park entrance.
Approx. 6 hrs, 13 km, 400 m ascent.
